Faculty Hiring

In recent years, UCR has worked to grow the size of our faculty and to remove further barriers to the recruitment of talented candidates from historically excluded populations who are currently underrepresented.

In less than 10 years, UCR added more than 260 Senate Faculty and Clinical Professors to our ranks. This represents a 30% increase to our Senate Faculty headcount and a 40% increase to the overall size of our professoriate.

Also, during this period of rapid growth, larger percentages of scholars who identify as women or underrepresented minorities (URM) began choosing UCR, helping to further diversify our faculty.
