WASC Accreditation
UCR is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Senior College and University Commission. The campus hosted a reaffirmation visit in 2018 and a special visit in 2022. Our next reaffirmation visit will be in 2026.
Strategic Planning

Carnegie and APLU Community & Economic Engagement
Since 2024, we have been designated by the Carnegie Foundation with the Community Engagement Classification. The campus self-assessments conducted for the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification and the Association for Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU) Innovation and Economic Prosperity Program are available here.
Administrative Review of New Departments and Programs
Proposals for new departments and degree programs undergo review by both the Academic Senate and the campus administration. The administrative review focuses on enrollment, resource needs, and impacts to other campus units.
