Bridging the Gap from Education to Employment

Bridging the Gap from Education to Employment (BGEE) is a University Innovation Alliance project that aims to close the gap between college and career for today’s undergraduates, particularly those from low-income and first-generation backgrounds.  Between 2018 and 2020, the BGEE project will:

  • Convene cross-sector groups within and outside of participating universities, including campus stakeholders across institutions and local, regional, and national employers
  • Use human-centered design principles to develop actionable, collective impact solutions with campus partners and employers
  • Identify promising practices to scale on participating campuses and share in a dynamic national playbook
  • Through these activities, the BGEE project seeks to enhance career development to meet the unique needs of all students; expand robust university-employer partnerships, and improve career outcomes for undergraduates at participating institutions and across the country.
