Taskforces

On September 19, 2005, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Ellen Wartella announced the creation of three task forces to address key challenges facing University of California, Riverside. View Taskforce Whitepaper

1. Revenue: FTE Task Force: Resources for Success
This task force is charged with recapturing and replacing unfilled FTE. Revenue must be found to support this growth by exploring and possibly changing policies and long-standing ways of doing business. More

2. Enrollment Task Force: Increasing the Applicant Pool and Undergraduate Enrollment
This task force is charged with discovering what changes to the current system will bring about an increase in undergraduate enrollment. More

3. Student Success
This task force is charged with improving retention and improving the overall undergraduate experience by advancing evaluation efforts, studying freshman transition course appropriateness, and furthering academic support. More

Initiatives

Establishment of a School of Public Policy

The University of California, Riverside campus has a deep history of engagement with issues of society. The establishment of a professional School of Public Policy , with Masters of Public Policy (MPP) and a PhD in Public Policy, will allow UCR to provide education, research, and leadership critical for the future development of Inland Southern California, with implications for national and international regions as well.
